Presentation Swiss Tchoukball
Swiss Tchoukball is the governing body for tchoukball in Switzerland. It was founded on 18 April 1971, notably by Dr Hermann Brandt, the inventor of tchoukball. It is responsible for organising, managing and regulating the sport of tchoukball in the country.
The federation is also responsible for the development and promotion of the sport. Swiss Tchoukball supports the Swiss tchoukball elite, the training of young talent and grassroots tchoukball. It oversees the development of the sport in all its forms, emphasising the educational and social aspects outlined in the Tchoukball Charter. Swiss Tchoukball is a member of the International Tchoukball Federation (FITB), the European Tchoukball Federation (ETBF) and Swiss Olympic.
Swiss Tchoukball manages the national teams and national competitions such as the Swiss Championship and the Swiss Cup.

The highlights of the tournament will be the finals held at the Sport-Toto-Halle:
- Monday, 3 August: Final matches at 1:50 p.m. (Girls U18), 3:10 p.m. (Boys U15) and 4:30 p.m. (Boys U18).
- Saturday, 8 August: Closing day with final matches at 1:55 p.m. (Men Over 40), 3:20 p.m. (Women) and 4:45 p.m. (Men).
European Youth Tchoukball Championship EYTC
The youth competitions will kick off the championships from 1 to 3 August 2026, providing a major showcase for the development of European tchoukball and the next generation of players. The young national teams will compete in several categories:
- Boys U18: Switzerland A, Switzerland B, Czech Republic, Italy, United Kingdom
- Boys U15: Switzerland BEJUNE, Switzerland GE, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom
- Girls: Switzerland U18, Switzerland U15 BEJUNE, Switzerland U15 GE, Poland U15, United Kingdom U18
European Tchoukball Championship ETC
The highlight of the competition will be the adults tournaments, which will take place from 5 to 8 August 2026. The men’s and women’s national teams, as well as the Men’s P40 category, will compete in a unique setting, with decisive matches and the final stages scheduled for the weekend.
The teams competing in the adult categories are as follows:
- Men: Switzerland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom
- Women: Switzerland A, Switzerland B, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom
- Men’s P40: Switzerland, France, Italy, United Kingdom
Around Euro 2026
Admission to the European Championships is free throughout the entire event. In addition to the games, visitors can enjoy a food and refreshment area, outdoor games, and historical Tchoukball photographs. Before the finals on Monday, 3 August, and Saturday, 8 August, face-painting and poster-making stations will also be available, allowing fans to support their teams with colourful displays.
Magglingen/Macolin is easily accessible by public transport: take the train to Biel/Bienne and then the funicular railway directly to Magglingen. As parking spaces on site are limited, travelling by public transport is strongly recommended.

Organisation Euro 2026
The European Tchoukball Championships are organised by Swiss Tchoukball and are held under the auspices of the European Tchoukball Federation (ETBF). An ad hoc organising committee has been tasked with preparing and running the tournament.
